The Evangelism and Stewardship Committee has two separate tasks. We work on ways that the congregation can give of their time, treasure and talent to support the ministries of St. John. Our second responsibility is to reach out to the community, inviting them to be part of the fellowship of our church. We do this through Facebook, website, and local advertising.
Several times each year we host an orientation for anyone interested in New or Renewed Membership at Saint John. Our committee also sponsors a monthly Senior Fellowship Luncheon that is open to anyone, 55+ years old. Senior fellowship takes place on the first Wednesday of every month, September through June, at noon. Our committee meets on the second Wednesday of every month at 6:30 PM and we welcome anyone interested in joining us.
IT’S PICTURE TIME: Lifetouch Photography will be here tomorrow and Tuesday to take portraits for the new church directory. Please be on time for your appointment - a schedule of names and times is posted in the All Purpose Room. Enter the building via the door near the elevator. NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION: If you are interested in becoming a member, or renewing your membership, in the congregation of St. John, an orientation luncheon will be held on Sunday, August 4, at 11:45 AM in the All Purpose Room. Following lunch, a discussion and tour of the building will be offered. New members will then be received on Sunday, August 11 at the service of their choice, with a cake and coffee reception between services.
